Multi-user file management system v3.0 Administrator can create users and set their permissions (what users can see and do, what kind of files to upload, set bandwidth limits, file size limits). It also has statistics and activity logs, every user action goes into the database logs. Admin can upload files and change his password since version 1.2.1. As of version 1.3, the admin can create upload folders and assign them to individual users, as well as delete file messages.

Features

  1. Batch Renaming: Batch renaming allows you to rename multiple files simultaneously, based on a set of rules or criteria. This is useful for organizing large collections of files with consistent naming conventions.

  2. File Versioning: Some advanced file systems and software offer version control, which allows you to keep track of different versions of a file over time. This is common in document management and collaborative environments.

  3. File Metadata: Advanced file systems enable you to add metadata to files, such as tags, comments, and keywords, which can help in better organizing and searching for files.

  4. File Synchronization: Synchronization tools allow you to keep files and folders identical across multiple devices or locations. This is useful for backing up and accessing your data from different locations.

  5. File Deduplication: Advanced file managers can identify and remove duplicate files to save space and streamline file organization.

  6. File Search: Advanced search capabilities enable you to search for files using complex queries, including file content, properties, and metadata. This can be especially useful when dealing with large collections of files.

  7. File Archiving: Archiving tools help you compress and store files in a compact format to save space while preserving data. This is often used for long-term storage and backup purposes.

  8. File Permissions and Access Control: Advanced file systems offer granular control over file and folder permissions, allowing you to specify who can read, write, or execute files and folders.

  9. File Encryption: You can encrypt files and folders to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. Advanced encryption tools offer various encryption algorithms and key management options.

  10. Automated File Management: Scripting and automation tools allow you to create custom workflows for managing files automatically. You can define rules to sort, rename, backup, or process files based on specific criteria.

  11. File Tagging: Tagging files with labels or categories can make it easier to categorize and find them, especially when dealing with a large number of files.

  12. File Recovery: In the event of data loss or accidental file deletion, advanced file management tools may offer data recovery options to retrieve lost files.

  13. File Splitting and Joining: You can split large files into smaller parts for easier storage or transfer and then rejoin them when needed.

  14. File Compression and Extraction: Advanced file managers often come with built-in compression and decompression tools for creating and extracting compressed archives.

  15. File Access Control Lists (ACLs): ACLs provide fine-grained control over who can access and modify files and directories, allowing for complex permission settings.

  16. Cloud Integration: Some advanced file managers offer integration with cloud storage services, making it easier to manage files stored in the cloud and sync them with local files.
